Dr. Jen Givens, D.C., CACCP
Dr. Jen Givens has become a valuable health resource for her community. Early in her career, she knew she wanted to be one of the best pediatric and prenatal chiropractors in the world; she knew she had to help families. With her experience and expertise, that is exactly what she’s done. Dr. Jen Givens started her first week of chiropractic school knowing that she was going to become a pediatric chiropractor. Her focus was set from that week on! During her 2nd year, she started taking classes through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association to become a Pediatric and Prenatal Certified Chiropractor. In 2014, Dr. Jen was privileged to do a chiropractic mission trip to Brazil in which she brought chiropractic care to the community of Manaus. To this day, she cherishes the memories of adjusting and caring for Brazilian children who have never experienced consistent healthcare.
Experience & Expertise
When Dr. Jen graduated summa cum laude and third in her class from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, she was offered a very esteemed position as an Associate Doctor at PWC Chiropractic in Crystal Lake, IL. PWC Chiropractic is known as the largest pediatric and prenatal chiropractic clinic in the world and teaches thousands of other chiropractic offices around the globe how to care for children!
Dr. Jen spent three and a half years working alongside amazing doctors and a wonderful patient base of many complex and challenging cases. She is honored to have spent so much one-on-one time with her mentors and to have grown into the sought-out doctor she is today.
Arizona is Home!
In 2017, Dr. Jen decided it was time to move back to Arizona, her home state, and start a pediatric and prenatal practice of her own. Dr. Jen has always loved caring for kids, pregnant mamas and families and was excited to share a unique chiropractic experience with the families of the Upper West Side.
Over the past few years of serving Arizona mamas, babies, families and kiddos she has displayed her expansive passion, experience and expertise and is honored to be a health resource for our community.
Time to IGNITE!
Since then, Ignite Family Chiropractic has grown from a simple dream of Dr. Jen’s into a full-blown health focused, supportive, ‘girl-gang’ sporting tribe of families that are health focused, supportive and working every day to live their best lives.
In 2020, Dr. Jen became a mama, through adoption, to her son Mavrik. Her son’s open adoption story has become a favorite of the community she is a part of, still getting comments on it in the Banner Hospital setting! Dr. Jen and Mavrik love doing all the outdoor adventurous things- from hiking with Mavi on her back, off-roading in Northern Arizona forests, going to the Sand Dunes, camping and day trips to new and old favorite locations, you’ll always see them out and about finding somewhere new to explore! Dr. Jen loves to try new “hipster” eateries- so if you have any suggestions she is always up for a new spot to try!
In other free time, Dr. Jen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading and trying new coffee shops—cold brew please, shopping at Target and doing numerous house design projects and improvements! Dr. Jen is also a dog-mama to two crazy girls- Gracie + Oakley!
Dr. Paris Wood, D.C.
Dr. Paris Wood grew up in Flushing, Michigan where she wasn’t even introduced to chiropractic until she was 20 years old! While playing collegiate soccer at Concord University, a local chiropractor came and adjusted the student athletes at her school. Dr. Paris loved the way getting adjusted made her feel, helped her recover faster, and even improved her game. She knew in that moment that chiropractic aligned with her core values and that it was the career for her!
Education & Experience
Dr. Paris traded country life for city life when she attended Life University in Atlanta, Georgia. While in Chiropractic school, Dr. Paris was heavily involved in the ICPA club. ICPA stands for International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and it was here that she found her passion and WHY. She realized that she wanted to serve families, kiddos, pregnant mamas, and everyone in between! Dr. Paris loves that she gets the opportunity to help your children grow up free of interferences so that they can express life and live to their best potential. While in chiropractic school, Dr. Paris was blessed to do a mission trip to Dajabon, Dominican Republic where she was able to serve and share the message of chiropractic to underserved areas.
Dr. Paris graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life University. She is certified in the Webster Technique, and is currently furthering her education in pediatrics and perinatal care through the ICPA. Additionally, Dr. Paris is a certified BIRTHFIT professional, which means she can provide the best possible care for moms from preconception through the postpartum period.
Relocating to Arizona
In her free time, Dr. Paris loves exploring her new home state! A big reason why she moved out west was to hike, be adventurous, and explore the great outdoors. She is an avid member of Orange Theory Fitness, and enjoys doing yoga on her days off! Dr. Paris is also a foodie at heart. If she’s not in the office she’s usually hitting up breweries, checking out local favorites, exploring Phoenix, and searching for the perfect taco margarita combo.
